Sue A. Nickel, 69, of North Tonawanda, passed suddenly on Wednesday February 8, 2017 at DeGraff Memorial Hospital. Born in Cobleskill, NY in 1947, she moved to North Tonawanda when she was 18 years old. She worked at Gelose Florist as a Floral Designer for many years. Sue enjoyed crafting and selling her crafts at local craft shows. She and her family enjoyed their summer home in Gasport. A loving grandmother “Nana”, her time with her grandchildren was so very special. Daughter of the late Robert and Lila McDonald and Olga and Robert Barlow.
Loving wife of 47 years to James T. Nickel, Sr., of North Tonawanda. Beloved mother of Deanna Wilson, James T. (Nancy) Nickel, Jr. and Debra (James) Wasielewski. Proud Nana of Lydia, Sophia, Ian, Ryan, Madison, James T. Nickel, III and Jake. Dear sister of Larry (Vicki) McDonald and Alice (Hank) Walters. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and her loving dog Sassy.
