Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and the oldest of 16 children, of North Tonawanda passed away Wednesday May 2, 2018 at the age of 80. She was born in Lockport on Easter Sunday April 17, 1938 to John Clarence and Doris May (Francis) MacDonald. She is survived by her husband Roy J. Wilhelm of Va. Bch, VA. Mother of Donna(Ted) Rose, David (Barb Elmer) Wilhelm, Denny Wilhelm, Roger(Jan) Wilhelm all of North Tonawanda, NY. Ronald Wilhelm, Randy Wilhelm(Cindy) of Tonawanda, NY. Dianna(Gilbert) Padilla of Huber Heights ,OH. Regina Chambers of Lockport, NY. 16 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A sister Patricia Pidanick of the Town of Tonawanda, NY., a brother Robert(Shirley) Walker of Erie, PA., a sister June VanEck. She was preceded in death by three of her sons: Roy Jr., Douglas, Dwayne. She had a rough childhood being in foster homes along with her siblings. She wanted to be a Brain Surgeon but instead fell in love with a young man down the street, got married and raised a large family of 11 children. Although she battle life with M.S. since the age of 32 and then learning she had Breast Cancer 16 mos. ago, thirty one years in a nursing home, but the whole time living life as it was given to her and not complaining once, being strong and not showing pain until the last few days of her life. She out lived most of her 15 younger siblings. A truly amazing woman whom everyone liked when they met her. She always saw the good in people, making friends with those who took care of her at the nursing homes and those that checked in on her as they passed by her room. Thank you to all who have touched her life. May she finally rest in peace and be reunited with the family whom have gone before her, free from pain and walking standing up. She was 80 yrs old but to God, she has always been his child. We celebrate her life. Family will receive visitors Sat. May 5th, 2-4 pm with a service to follow at 4pm. All at Brunner Funeral Home 156 Robinson Street(near Oliver St.)North Tonawanda.
