Anne M. Reed

Anne M. Reed, age 84 born in Philadelphia Pa. A long time resident of North Tonawanda, NY. Entered into eternal life on January 8, 2013, while at the Northgate Healthcare Facility –“Hospice at Jeanne’s House” after a lengthy illness. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and loved cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She was an active member of the former Ascension and St Joseph church and most recently the OLC parish. She enjoyed many volunteer activities with her church and community and everything she did was with great love and joy. She was one of a kind and embraced life through the good and bad. She will be remembered for her compassion and kindness to others. Mother of the late Gerald Reed.
She is survived by her loving husband Michael Vincent Reed Jr. Loving mother of six children, Michael (Susan) of Mt Laurel, NJ, Dan (the late Blyar) of North Tonawanda, Timothy (the late Mary) of Wheatfield, Thomas (Cheryl) of North Tonawanda and a daughter Annemarie (Howard) Barker of Cattaraugus, NY. Proud Grandmother of eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Friends received by the family on Sunday 2-6 p.m. at the Brunner Funeral Home (692-3841) 156 Robinson St, North Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 626 Oliver St, North Tonawanda on Monday morning at 9:30 a.m.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the MS Society, Diabetes Association, ALS Association or to Niagara Hospice Inc.
