Bernice Horvath

Bernice F. “Bea” Horvath (nee Machinski) of North Tonawanda on Saturday (January 23, 2010) surrounded by her family. Bea was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. She and her husband owned “Bea and Frank Fish & Chip Shop”, formerly at the Midcity Plaza. She operated two Dairy Queen franchises and also worked at Fried, Inc. in Tonawanda until her retirement. Wife of the late Frank J. Horvath. Sister of the late Stanley, Edmund, Edward and Leonard “Mack” Machinski. Beloved mother of James G. (Barbara) Horvath of Cheektowaga, Josephine “JoAnn” (Roy) Meyers of Wheatfield and Frank J. (Susan) Horvath, Jr. of Denver, CO. Sister of Zita Bordenave and Julian (Helen) Mack. Proud grandmother of six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday morning at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. Interment will be private at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Women and Children’s Hospital, Buffalo, Niagara Hospice, Inc. or St. Jude Hospital for Children.
