Donna G. Wasielewski

Donna G. Wasielewski (nee Sawyer) age 70 of North Tonawanda on Sunday February 8, 2015 at Niagara Hospice House. Donna was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish. She courageously battled cancer for 25 years. Her selfless and beautiful spirit was truly her eternal imprint on her family. Donna’s devotion to her family was perhaps her greatest strength while battling her cancer. Donna was always lovingly supportive of her family which was displayed by her soul purpose for making those around her happy even in her times of pain and suffering. There is no doubt Donna was a warrior in her own right, a true fighting spirit that will be honored dearly. When life becomes tough we must hold close her shining testament of love, commitment, and absolute strength she had for the glory that is life and family. She is the daughter of the late Milford and Virginia Sawyer and sister of the late Alan (Linda)and Scott(Carol) Sawyer.
Beloved wife of Francis M. Wasielewski of North Tonawanda. Loving mother of Paul (Kitrese) Wasielewski, Melissa (Douglas) Barney and James (Debra) Wasielewski. Passionate and proud grandmother of Koryn, Kaley, Derek, Donna, Veronica, Sarina, Lydia, Ryan, and Jake. Great grandmother “GiGi” of Donovan. Loving sister of Laura (Victor) Pascell and special Aunt to Sara, Nicholas and Daniel.
Friends received by the family on Thursday 4-8 P.M. at the Brunner Funeral Home, (692-3841) 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, 57 Center St., North Tonawanda on Friday morning at 9:30. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to Niagara Hospice House.
