Frank James Lawlor

Frank J. Lawlor, Jr., age 90, of North Tonawanda, died peacefully at home on May 10, 2013. Frank retired from the University of Buffalo as a Campus Policeman. He owned and operated Aunt Tillies Homemade Candies on Rumbold Avenue until 2002. Frank was a member of the Crows Nest Horse Shoe Club and always said that he “was a jack of all trades and Master of Horse Shoes”. He loved sports and fishing and played semi-pro baseball as a youth. Frank was a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran and served his country in the 456th Bomber Group as a Sperry Ball Turret Gunner. Husband of the late Jean (Nee Howard) Lawlor for over 60 years. Brother of the late Mildred Gregson.
Beloved father of Peggy (John) DioGuardi, Frank (Cynthia) Lawlor, III, Annette (Anthony) Caswell, Dennis H. Lawlor, Linda (Michael) Mascellino. Special uncle of Marie (Jay) Doane. Proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends received by the family at the Brunner Funeral Home, (692-3841) 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda, on Friday, May 17, 2013 from 11- 12 P.M. followed by a Memorial Service with Military Honors at 12:00 P.M.
