Gerald Barber

Gerald Edward Barber, 86, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away at his home on Friday, June 22, 2018; beloved husband for 67 years of Ann M. (nee Ardary); devoted father of Gerald (Linda), Don E. (Ann), Jane E. (Stephen), and James (Eloise); loving grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Gerald was born in Buffalo, NY and served in the United States Marine Corps before beginning a life-long career at International Paper in North Tonawanda, NY and Jay, ME. While living in North Tonawanda, Gerald frequently served as a coach for youth sports. He loved cruising, casinos, sports, and spending time with his family. After retiring, Gerald moved to Phoenix, Arizona.

Visitation from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Friday, June 29 at Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson St., N. Tonawanda. Relatives and friends are invited to a Burial Mass at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd, N. Tonawanda at 10 AM on Saturday, June 30, Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Kenmore. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix AZ.
