H. Guy Thiele

H. Guy Thiele, 89, of North Tonawanda on February 5, 2009 at his residence. Guy was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. As a WWII U.S. Army Veterans, he was wounded in action and received the Purple Heart. He worked for the City of North Tonawanda as a Signal Supervisor for 34 years. He retired in 1980 from the city. Guy was a member the of the International Signal Association, B.P.O.E. Elks 860, Columbia Hook and Ladder and an Honorary member of the Live Hose #4. Son of the late Emil and Mattie Thiele. Predeceased by six brothers and one sister. Loving husband of Beatrice (nee Luberti) Thiele of North Tonawanda. Dear father of David Thiele and Diane (Stephen) Overton. Proud grandfather of Tammy (Larry) Dodge, Justyn (Abby) Arnold and Jessica Arnold. Great Grandfather of Geoffrey and Ryan Dodge and Lydia and Eleanor Arnold. Friends and family are invited to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Scott and William Streets in Tonawanda on Monday morning at 11:00 o’clock for a service of remembrance. Interment at Acacia Park Cemetery will be private. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Niagara Hospice, Inc.
