Joseph C. Valentine

Joseph C. Valentine, age 80, of Tonawanda, on Friday January 30, 2009 at Hospice Buffalo. Husband of Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Charlton) Valentine of Tonawanda, Loving father of Dennis (Maggie) Valentine, Valerie (Mike) Ziemer, Annette (Mike) Marcaccio, Jr. Also surviving are four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Beloved brother of six sisters and three brothers, many nieces and nephews. As a member of St. Amelia Church, he was the Past President of the Holy Name Society, an usher and member of the choir. Joseph was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. He retired from the Buffalo News where he was the Supervisor of Engraving for 34 years. Friends received by the family on Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Brunner Funeral Home (692-3841), 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda where services will be held Monday morning at 10:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Amelia R.C. Church at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to Hospice Buffalo, Inc.
