Joyce Ann O'Connor

Joyce Ann O’Connor, (nee Borner) 68, of Tonawanda and formerly of Newfane, entered into rest on Tuesday March 4, 2025. Devoted and loving wife of William C. O’Connor, Sr. for 49 years. Loving mother of William C. (Sarah) O’Connor, Jr., and Rhianna L. O’Connor. Proud grandmother of Calisity Joy Mitri, William and Jillian O’Connor. Loving sister of Linda (the late Pip) Leavesley, Pamela (Keith) Ames, Albert J. (Chris) Borner, and the late Mark Borner. Daughter of the late Albert J. and Frances (nee Teglash) Borner. Dear sister-in-law of Janet (Norbert) Rehner and dear friend of Patty Brzezinski. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a loving fur mom to Pantera and Morkie.

Joyce worked as a CNA for the Newfane Health Facility and as a Custodian for the North Tonawanda School Board. She enjoyed camping at Niagara County Camp Resort, vacationing at Myrtle Beach, gardening, craft shows. She will be missed by QVC! Joyce was the best Nana that any grandchild could ask for.  If anyone needed someone to talk to, Joyce was always available with a listening ear.  She will be missed by all who knew her.  

The family will announce a memorial service at a later date. Memorials may be made to Buffalo Hospice, Inc.
