Kenneth M. Felvus, “Kenny” age 69, of North Tonawanda on Sunday (December 4, 2011) after a brief illness. Kenny was a member of Ancient Landmark Lodge #358 and Live Hose Co. #4 as well as the North Tonawanda Volunteer Fireman’s Benevolent Association. Kenny was a founding member of the North Tonawanda Fire/Police and was instrumental in the clean up and beautification of the Sweeney Cemetery. He helped rebuild the handicap dock on Sweeney Street for the residents of DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility. He was known for his love of woodworking and crafts making wooden tulips, birds and children’s step stools. He was always willing to help a neighbor. Son of the late William and Anna (Furman) Felvus. Brother of the late Helen Marsh-Gaines, Martha Reed, Mae Bailey, Pauline Bouley, Emmaline Savard, William Felvus and James Felvus.

Beloved husband for 50 years of Florence (nee Reuther) Felvus of North Tonawanda. Loving father of Dawn M. (Dean) Cappellano of North Tonawanda, Kenneth J. Felvus of Niagara Falls and Melissa Felvus of North Tonawanda. Loving grandfather of Kaitlyn Felvus (Tim Andrews), Emily and Kayla Seeley, Brianna Cansdale-Felvus, Ashley Felvus and Joseph and Nicolas Cappellano. Great-grandfather of Kendra, Dakota and Aryanna Andrews. Dear brother of Violet (the late Jerry) Wilson of Niagara Falls, Robert (Judy) Felvus of Junction City, KS and Charles (Sandra) Felvus of Troutville, VA. Brother-in-law of Joan Felvus and Edgar “Pete” Savard. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends received by the family on Wednesday, 3-8 P.M. at the Brunner Funeral Home (692-3841), 156 Robinson St, North Tonawanda, where services by the Live Hose #4 Volunteer Fire Department will be held at 7:00 followed by Masonic Services at 7:30. Funeral Services will be held at 8:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to Meals On Wheels of North Tonawanda.
