Margaret Vera Taft

Margaret Vera Taft, (nee Rozelle) age 87, of North Tonawanda and Corning, NY passed peacefully at DeGraff Hospital in North Tonawanda, NY on Wednesday, March 31, 2010. She is the dearest mother of Alberta (Paul) Roman of North Tonawanda, Lee (Lisa) Taft of Walnut Creek, CA, Lew (Char) Taft of Bath, NY. Judy (Jack) Wickering of Campbell, NY, Ken (Vonetta) Taft of Corning, NY and the late Donna Marie Taft. She is survived by her dear sister-in-law Adah Taft of Wayne, NY, ten of her twelve grandchildren, eight of her nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Sister of the late Hannah,Thelma and Jessie Rozelle. Margaret worked in the laundry at Corning Hospital, Kenmore Mercy Hospital and DeGraff Hospital retiring in1988. Margaret enjoyed bicycling, walking , reading, country music and traveling. Margaret loved children and education. Upon retirement she took a train to the west coast and back. Friends will be received by the family on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Brunner Funeral Home (716-692-3841), 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda where services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Private interment will be at Acacia Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc.
