Marie A. Briggs

Marie Briggs, (nee Berggren) Age 99, of North Tonawanda on Thursday (April 16, 2009) after a long illness. Marie was a member of the former St. Joseph R.C. Church and a member of the Altar Society. She retired from Remington Rand Corp. in 1974 and was one of the original residents of Bishop Gibbons Apartments. Marie enjoyed bingo, bowling and entertaining her friends for tea and desserts in her apartment. Wife of the late John “Jack” D. Briggs and grandmother of the late Michael W. Kinzly and Kiran Briggs Ramanathan. Loving mother of Barbara (Don) Kinzly of DeBary, FL and Brian (Peggy) Briggs of North Tonawanda. Proud grandmother of Randy J. (Elizabeth) Kinzly, Mark L. Kinzly, Mary Beth (Donald) McMullin, Steven D. (Jennifer) Briggs and Tricia M. (Sekhar) Briggs Ramanathan. Great grandmother of Anna Kinzly, Madeline Kinzly, Lillian McMullin, William McMullin and Chase M. R. Kinzly. Friends received by the family on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Brunner Funeral Home (692-3841) 156 Robinson Street, North Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Oliver and Center Streets in North Tonawanda. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
