Mary J. Shanahan

Mary J. Shanahan, 55, of North Tonawanda died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 10, 2012. Mary was a Registered Nurse and had worked at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. She was an avid softball player and bowling enthusiast. She enjoyed jogging with her father. Mary was a strong believer in American Patriotism and was an auxiliary member of Sikora Post #1322. Daughter of the late Shirley Lukasik and sister of the late Imogene Pasel.
Beloved daughter of John F. Lukasik (Barbara Barrett) of North Tonawanda. Loving mother of Kelly (Christopher) Prezioso of Sanborn and Kim (Mick) Giesing of North Tonawanda. Proud grandmother of Gabrielle, Grace, Natalie and Rocco. Dear sister of Sue (Steven) Downing of Wheatfield, Wendy (David) Lusk of Uncasville, CT and Michael Lukasik of Kenmore. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Friends received by the family on Monday 4-8 p.m. at the Brunner Funeral Home (692-3841) 156 Robinson St. North Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday followed by interment at Acacia Park Cemetery.
