Michael Vincent Reed

Michael Vincent Reed, Jr. “Vince” age 85 of North Tonawanda, entered into eternal life on Monday (March 4, 2013) while at the Northgate Health Care Facility under the care of Niagara Hospice. Vince was an active member of Ascension and St. Joseph Church and most recently, Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. He retired from Occidental Chemical Corp after 39 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 264 and the Color Guard Unit. He was mechanically talented and eagerly shared his skills with anyone in need. Vince was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Devoted Husband of the late Anne M. Reed and loving father of six children, Michael (Susan) of Mt Laurel, NJ, Dan (the late Blyar) of North Tonawanda, Timothy (the late Mary) of Wheatfield, Thomas (Cheryl) of North Tonawanda, Annemarie (Howard) Barker of Cattaraugus and the late Gerald (Nicole) Reed. Grandfather of the late Delaney Reed and proud grandfather of eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Friends received on Sunday 3-6 p.m. at the Brunner Funeral Home (692-3841) 156 Robinson St, North Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 626 Oliver St, North Tonawanda on Monday morning at 9:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, University of Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program or to Niagara Hospice Inc.
