Richard P. Kobel of North Tonawanda, Entered into rest April 1, 2013 In Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital after an acute illness. He was 70.
Richard was born on August 19th, 1942 in Niagara Falls, New York to the late Samuel and Doris Kobel. He served his country for 6 years in the United States Marine Corp. aviation wing as an aircraft electrical technician. Richard worked for the Sierra Research Corp. as a flight systems engineer where he retired after 30 years. He was known for his devotion to his family and compassion to the world.
He is survived by his beloved wife Joyce (Urbano) Kobel, father of Deborah (Timothy) Fitzgerald, Pamela Harig and Paul Kobel PhD. Brother of Thomas (Patricia) Kobel and Judith (William) Pyne. Dearest Brother-in-law of Joseph (Marsha) Colatarci and Becky Grady, Loving and devoted “Pop” of Danny, Sammy, Jack and Grace. Loving Uncle of Karen, Danny, Susan, Stephanie, Kathleen, Barbara, Joey, Tim and Katie. Dear friend of James M. Perry and Larry and Pam O’Grady.
Friends and Family may call at the Brunner Funeral Home (692-3841) 156 Robinson Street, North Tonawanda on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 6th at 9:30 A.M. at the St. Christopher Parish church 2660 Niagara Falls, BLVD, Tonawanda, New York 14150.
