Robert Edward Kurczynski

Robert E. Kurczynski, 86 of Pendleton died on August 7, 2024, after a long illness. Son of Stanley and Mary (nee Wargula) Kurczynski. Stepson of the late Al Pryzbyl. Beloved husband, of 63 years, of Linda (nee Martone) Kurczynski. Proud father of Rita (Frank) Dispenza, Robin (Peter) Bayer, Robert (Karen) Kurczynski and elated grandfather “Papa” of Jordyn Leigh, Jacob Franklin and Taylor Elizabeth. Step-grandfather of April, Amy, Aaron and Step-great-grandfather of A.J. Loving brother of Stan (Toni) Kurczynski, twin sister Patricia “PJ” (the late John) Jankowiak and Lorry (Lenny) Drzazgowski. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

 His faith in God and love of country, sent him on two tours in the U.S. Army where he was Honorably discharged on 3/31/1963. Bob was an active member of the Pendleton Veterans Association and the Brauer’s Fishing Club until his health stopped him from participating. In his spare time, he loved fishing, cutting his lawn and watching his birds surround the numerous feeders in his backyard. Although none of his hobbies gave him as much joy as he had when he was spending time with his grandchildren. 

 Friends received by the family on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda.  A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 that evening.  Private interment will be at the Western New York Veterans National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc.
