Stella J. Hunt

Stella J. Hunt, (nee Colombo) age 90, of North Tonawanda on May 29, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at Buffalo General Hospital after a brief illness. Stella was a member of the former Ascension R.C. Church and presently Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. Stella was a Foster Grandparent and Sr. Companion at DeGraff Memorial Hospital for over 25 years. She was family oriented and was very involved in raising her loving grandchildren. Wife of the late Leslie E. Hunt. Mother of the late Donald L. Hunt. Sister of the late Betty Woods, Nancy Pirozzi, Connie Mantell and Joseph Colombo.
Loving mother of Patricia Brock and Diane M. (Keith) Bell both of North Tonawanda. Dear sister of August (Evelyn) Colombo and Anthony (Audrey) Colombo. Sister-in-law of Emmy Colombo. Proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Stella will be missed by her beloved rescue dog “Chucky”.
Friends received by the family on Sunday June 2nd from 4 – 7 P.M. at the Brunner Funeral Home (692-3841) 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda where services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Interment at Acacia Park will be private. Memorials may be made to the Niagara County ASPCA.
