William Howard Tinklepaugh

WILLIAM “Bill” HOWARD TINKLEPAUGH, 79, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 24, 2010. Bill was born on March 22, 1931 in Lockport, NY to his parents Howard and Mildred (Cornell) Tinklepaugh. The majority of his life was spent in the Tonawanda, Getzville and North Tonawanda, New York area prior to his move to Ft. Myers, Florida.

He was a former member of Ascension Church in North Tonawanda and in Florida, he had been a member of First Christian Church of Ft Myers.

He was always very proud of his time in the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean conflict. Over the years he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, dancing and playing cards with family and friends.

Bill was predeceased by his parents and younger brother Robert. He is survived by his four children, Jeanne (R. Michael) Wantz, Michael Tinklepaugh, Lori (Donald) Richards their mother Loretta Ruth Tinklepaugh of North Tonawanda, New York, and Stephen (Barbara) Tinklepaugh of Fort Myers, Florida. Grandpa “Tink” will also be remembered by his grandchildren, Kara, Michael and Jennifer, Jessica and Sarah, Jason and Christopher as well as his nine great grandchildren.

Flowers are gratefully declined and the family requests donations be made to “The Bridge Youth Center” @ www.urbanteens.org a very active teen center in Ft Myers. On Saturday, October 9,2010 a memorial mass will be celebrated at 1:00 at St Jude the Apostle Church, 900 Niagara Falls Blvd, North Tonawanda, New York with a reception to follow in parish hall.
