William T. Fire

William T. Fire, Sr., age 87, of North Tonawanda on Friday May 30, 2014 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Bill was a proud Union Carpenter for over 50 years. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and his wife’s and daughter’s cooking. Bill was an avid Yankees and Buffalo sports fan. In his retirment, he built many Victorian Doll Houses for his grandchildren. Son of the late Mike and Barbara (nee Cerra) Fire. Predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.
Beloved husband of Rose (nee Sorri) Fire of North Tonawanda. Loving father of Eloise “Ellie” (The Honorable Richard C.) Kloch, Sr., William T. (Deborah) Fire, Jr., Christopher P. (Erica) Fire. Proud grandfather of Philip (Karen) Proch, Richelle Kloch, Sarah (Joseph) Yantachka, Robert B. (Kelli) Kloch, Richard C. (Jennifer) Kloch, Jr., Jason (Kimberly) Laska, Gregory Laska, Christopher W. Fire and Jared Quinn. Also survived by many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Dearest friend of Philip and Margie Proch, Nick and Elaine Woloszyn, Barbara Ifflander, Bill Stuckwisch and the Willie Brick family. Friends received by the family on Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 at the Brunner Funeral Home, 156 Robinson St., North Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd. on Monday morning at 10:00. Please assemble at the church. The family requests that memorials be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc. or Camp Good Days and Special Times.
